What is the purpose of this event?
This weekend is designed for middle school students to invite their friends and take a few days to focus on what the Bible says a real follower of Christ is. Whether students haven't taken that step in their life or whether they have been a Christ follower for years, this weekend is designed to challenge them right where they are. The weekend also gives students the opportunity to get to know each other better as well as meet new people. The goal is to accomplish all of this while having incredible amounts of fun! We really hope you will join us!
General Format:
- Students will be placed into groups that are based on grade, gender, and preference
- These groups will be lead by one or two adult volunteers and will stay in "Host Homes". Host Homes are provided by families in the church
who open their homes up for the weekend to these groups for meals, small group teaching times, sleeping, and hang out time. Host Home
families will also help to drive students to and from activities during the weekend.
- There will be four general sessions in which the entire group will be together (Friday Night, Saturday Morning, Sunday Evening, and Sunday
Morning). These times will consist of worship with the band Severely Yours, dynamic teaching by Matt Hill, videos, and more. Don't forget to
bring yoru cell phones!
- Students will also take part in fun activities throughout the weekend. Last year, students took part in a large group game (family group vs.
family group), as well as a picture scavenger hunt around the city of Charlotte.
- There will be non-stop action the whole weekend!
